8th Grade Walks for the Poor

St. Mary's County Fair Speech Contest

Father Andrew White was well represented at the speech
contest today (Sept. 25).  He was first out of 10 middle school
and 4 high school students to speak.

He spoke eloquently. In fact, all the kids/speeches were
good! Ethan went up against the best of his peers and FAW
should be very proud.

The contest lasted 2 hours. The students did their best to
be patient and respectful for each contestant to go.

While Ethan did not place, I hope he walked away with a
learning experience that will only encourage him to be a
great orator in the future.
