Ms. Johnson’s Third Grade Class
About Ms. Johnson
My name is Chas Johnson and I have been the third grade teacher at Father Andrew White School for twenty-six years. I have spent all of my teaching career at this school and I consider it my second home. I am a proud product of Catholic education myself and firmly believe in the values and faith we teach. I attended St. John’s School in Hollywood and St. Mary’s Ryken High School. I graduated from St. Mary’s College in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development. I went on to seek Maryland state certification by completing all necessary coursework and classroom time. I love to teach writing and grammar to third graders. They are both subjects I loved as a child and continue to enjoy.
I was born and raised in Hollywood, Maryland and now reside just 15 minutes north in Mechanicsville. My mom and dad still live in Hollywood and all of my family remains local. When people ask how many children I have, I respond with the number of students in my class for the year. I love to spend time and go places with my nephews and nieces. I enjoy traveling especially to warm places with my good friends. Key West is my favorite! I am a big Baltimore Orioles and Washington Capitals fan and I enjoy watching and going to games when I can. Another love of mine is Halloween! I enjoy hosting a third grade Halloween party each year on my family’s farm.
Father Andrew White School is a very important part of who I am. I love the community and family feel of the school and I feel blessed to work in such a special place.
