Mrs. Gavin’s Art Class

About Mrs. Gavin

I am grateful to be able to share my love of art with the students at FAW. Though I grew up in a small town in Carroll County, Maryland, I have since lived around the world with my husband of 22 years, living in places as distant and exotic as Japan and Hawaii. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in Art Education from University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. I fell in love with teaching art during our tour in Japan. I have taught for nine years — and look forward to many more.

My husband is a rotary-wing test pilot in the United States Navy and I am a mother to two wonderful boys, ages 13 and 17. I love to run and to visit the beaches and mountains of North Carolina with my family. I love Father Andrew White because it feels like a family to me. I hope that each day I can share that feeling of belonging with all of our amazing students.
