Mrs. Longmore’s Second Grade Class
About Mrs. Longmore
My name is Kathryn Longmore and I am the current 2nd grade teacher at Father Andrew White School. This will be my fourth year teaching at Father Andrew White School. Prior to teaching at Father Andrew White School I was a teacher in the Saint Mary’s County Public School System for six years before taking nine years off to be a stay at home mom to my four wonderful children. I am from Saint Mary’s County and have lived here my entire life. My family owned a local grocery store in Ridge Maryland, Raley’s Town and Country Market, where I spent most of my childhood days helping out. I attended Little Flower School in Great Mills for elementary school and Great Mills High School. After high school graduation I attended Frostburg State University where I received a degree in Early Childhood Education. I then attended McDaniel College and received a Master’s in Curriculum Instruction and Administration.
I currently live on our family farm in Great Mills with my loving husband Chris and four kids Zachary, Isabella, Gabrielle, and Lucas. Our neighbors are wonderful because they are my mom and dad, my brother, his wife and two children, and my mother-in-law. I love spending time with family, swimming, and reading a good book on the back porch of our home. I truly have the best of both worlds. I am able to do two of my favorite things in life teach, and be a loving wife and mother. I love teaching at Father Andrew White School because I feel like we are one big family with one common goal: our children and raising them with a Catholic foundation that will guide them through life.
