Father Andrew White School along with its very active Home School Association (HSA) sponsors a variety of events and activities for students and their families throughout the year. These social events give students and their families a chance to get to know other FAW families better and interact outside the classroom. In fact, many families form life-long friendships!
Listed below are just a few of the events that you and your family can look forward to as part of the Father Andrew White School community.
GRANDPARENTS’ DAY
Each September grandparents are invited to visit their grandchildren’s classroom and participate in different activities, including crafts and learning activities.
STUDENT RETREAT DAY
Students from K – 8th Grade take a day off from their regular classroom studies to travel to Camp Maria to celebrate an outdoor Mass near beautiful Breton Bay and to participate in many teacher planned activities centering around a common school-wide virtue or theme.
FALL FUN DAY
This is an annual event that takes place at the end of October. The school multi-purpose room and playground are transformed into a carnival atmosphere, filled with games, prizes, arts & crafts, and good food for all to enjoy.
THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON
The Tuesday before Thanksgiving is the day that our FAW family comes together at lunchtime and shares a delicious traditional turkey meal with all the trimmings. It is always one of our most popular events!
SANTA’S WORKSHOP
Sponsored by our HSA, students have the opportunity to shop right at school for Christmas gifts for their family. HSA volunteers guide students with their purchases, and even provide free wrapping services! What can be better than that?
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
Starting on the last Sunday in January, students, staff, and families come together to celebrate Catholic education! All week long special activities like Math Night, International Night, and Student Appreciation Day are the talk of the town! The week concludes with our annual Italian Dinner a tasty event looked forward to by the entire FAW community.
