Mrs. Smith’s Technology Class
About Mrs. Smith
I grew up in LaPlata, MD and went to elementary school at Archbishop Neale School. After graduating from McDonough High School, I stayed home for 2 years and completed my associates degree at CSM. I then transferred to Towson University to pursue my teaching degree. The summer after my first year at TU, Mrs. Maloney called me to offer me the technology teacher job at FAW. While working my first year at FAW, I completed my bachelors degree in Computer Studies through UMUC.
I have been teaching technology at FAW for 9 years. It’s amazing to see how far technology has advanced over the past few years and the technology resources FAW has. I enjoy each and every day working at FAW. My favorite thing about FAW is the love and friendship of my co-workers and seeing the smiling faces of the students.
I married my husband Richie on May 31, 2014. Our son Bradley was born on March 19, 2016. I was able to experience these 2 life moments with everyone at FAW and feel very blessed for all of the love and support. I’m so grateful to be a part of the FAW community.
