About Mr. George

I teach Grade Level 4th grade Math, 6th & 7th grade Science, and PK-4 Science Labs. I have lived in St. Mary’s County for most of my life except for the few years spent away at college. I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and took all my Secondary Education classes at Towson University. I graduated from Chopticon High School and attended Holy Angels Sacred Heart School Pre-K through 8th grade. I have taught a science summer camp for advanced middle school students at Towson University. I helped instruct a morning science club at a middle school in Towson, MD, and volunteered at a local after school community center, teaching science programs, while in Baltimore County, MD. I taught lab sections of Medical Microbiology Lab and General Biology Lab to college students at Towson University. After moving back to St. Mary’s County I substitute taught in the local public schools for nearly two years.

I am married to Kristen, whom I met while taking a communication class at CSM. Our daughter Kate is in the 7th grade this year and is very excited to have her father working at FAW. I love spending time with my family, hiking, fishing, hunting, basketball, and learning about anything and everything. I love working as a team to complete a task. It is truly exciting to watch and assist in the growth of someone else’s knowledge and faith. Teaching does just that. I am excited to join the FAW community in the role of a teacher and look forward to working with everyone to complete the task of educating our students.
