Emergency Policy – Father Andrew White, S.J. School

In the event of bad weather, we follow the St. Mary’s County Public Schools decision about closing or late starts.

All Catholic Schools will follow St. Mary’s County Public School Closings and delayed openings due to inclement weather. There will be NO separate notice for Catholic Schools.

****EXCEPTION TO THIS:

IF THERE IS A DELAY IN STARTING SCHOOL AND WE ARE SCHEDULED FOR A 12:30 DISMISSAL, WE WILL BEGIN AT THE DELAYED TIME AND EXTEND THE DAY TO A FULL DAY WITH 2:30 DISMISSAL.

Father Andrew White uses the AP Notify System to contact our parents of emergency closings and delays.

Closings are announced on radio stations especially WMDM-FM 97.7 and WPTX-AM 92.
