On behalf of our Father Andrew White School family, we thank all who have shown such an impressive participation in last year’s Annual Fund. Through your contributions to the Fund, you have expressed in a tangible way your love for our children and your belief in the value of Catholic education.
Last year, with the Capital Improvement portion of the Annual Fund (50%), we came very close to the amount needed to purchase and install a new system of playground equipment. The new system will replace the old one that after nineteen years has come to the end of its usable life. Our children will soon have fun with the brand new playground equipment.
Using the Safety and Security portion of the Fund (25%), we have now replaced the camera monitoring system around the premises that had been in need of repair and upgrade.
With the Program Enrichment percentage (25%), we have hired a part-time Spanish language teacher this year, who instructs all the grades, and are enhancing the materials available for the Spanish curriculum.
As we enter into this year’s sixtieth anniversary celebration of Father Andrew White School, we look to continuing with a number of enhancements.
The capital improvements we’re aiming at are the renovation of a couple of children’s restrooms. Additional safety and security issues include the replacement of some external doors. For program enrichment, we have very much wanted to hire a part-time counselor, whom we would share with other Catholic schools in the county. We hope this will be a possibility next year.
To accomplish these projects, our Annual Fund goal for 2014-15 is $30,000. We are hopeful that you will once again consider a tax-deductible gift of $250 to the Fund. If that figure is a little challenging for your family at this time, any amount that is within your means would be deeply appreciated.
I know you share our enthusiasm about serving the educational needs of the children you have entrusted to our care at Father Andrew White School. We are committed each and every day to seeing that they excel with strong minds, healthy bodies and a living faith.
